The overlap/highlighting ("pulling" to front) when selecting a card is an Issue especially on mobile - at least for me.

had another turn with 24 cards. painful. had another thought regarding the UI.

I'd suggest having a "keep" and a "discard" button for each card, and collecting all such cards on opposite sides of the screen, giving more space to undecided stuff. That's probably more like how people manage in a real game, holding a giant hand and gradually dividing everything into two piles.

Rather than moving cards around which is confusing I would suggest:

1. Implement a toggle button for selecting/deselecting all cards. This may be useful when a lot of cards need discarding.

2. Implement a discard counter (something like "12/23") that updates as you are selecting/deselecting cards to discard. This will always be useful as feedback to help make selection.

Either or both would be very useful.

The counter would certainly be helpful ("how many more to reach 14?").
I don't think the global "de/select all" would be useful at all.

main issue is that you just can't see more than one card's details at once.

I once discarded when I thought I selected what to play.
Maybe there could be a prompt for the case when you have 11 or 12 cards and have to discard.
On all other card counts you would notice. :)

I've added a counter for how many cards you need to discard when discarding after explore or at end of turn.

Please note that the prompt already says "You must discard..." When you are prompted to discard, your selections indicate which cards you'll discard.

It's more convenient to discard 8 cards to just click on the button instead.

If you're discarding 8 cards, it's because you have 18 cards... in which case you'd be clicking 11 times instead of 8.
