A long press usually works on mobile to make the tooltip appear. Although I agree there's room for improvement here.

I think the approach we will probably take will be to make the tooltip appear when you click on the special achievement.

The special achievements definitely need to be readable without reliance on a tooltip, particularly as expansions are being added.

I don't know what the achievement cards look like in the physical versions of the new edition, but if the reverse sides of the cards that we're currently seeing have text on them, then players should have the ability to display those reverse sides instead of the icon sides that we're currently forced to use (and which convey no useful information if one does not already know what each achievement's conditions are).

Making them readable without a tooltip is an entirely different request altogether. Would it help if we put the achievement name near the icon?

That's a good solution as it's nice to be able to see all the info at once. It is slightly jarring in terms of the general overall choice of layout for this game was (pre-expansions) where viewing the info on each special achievement card was more in line with the reason of the cards layout. Pros and cons, I think the main thing is that this info does need to be easily accessed, not exactly a controversial statement, that...

There is now a "Browse" button next to the unclaimed special achievements, which lets you read all of the special achievements, and the popup will also tell you how close you are to meeting its criteria.
